1. What problems or conflicts are presented in chapter one? Tao needing to find a rabbit is an obvious one; identify at least two more (not having anything to do with the rabbit!).
2. Predict the resolution of each conflict.

conflict 1. Tao was late to thae camp where all thae hunters are all at and a man told himthat he was awast of time.

What two important events happen in this chapter?The two events that happen in the story are that Tao starts imaging a girl and that girl is his mom.Also that Tao propprd his torch against a stone then got armfuls and brushing wood and and kidling and piled them up to make a fire and threw more logs and sticks untill yellow tongues flamed up high into the darkness.

1. What do Tao and Ram learn to do together?Tao and Ram are better at hunting together because they catch food better.
2. What decision does Tao tell Volt?
Tao decided that he is going hunt with Ram because he catches more food with him and Volt thought that he was hunting with the hunters but he wasn't!
3. Look at Tao's decisions and actions from Volt's perspective. Pretend you are Volt. Write a first person paragraph explaining how you feel.
I would feel good about it because he is getting more food and that means more food for us and for him.I would also feel proud of him he like saving lives so nobody will die of hunger.I would also feel thankful to him because he is saving our lives and giving us food to eat that's how i would feel!

An important theme in this novel is that people should follow their dreams and do what they believe is right, even if they don't follow their society's expected ways.
The author examines this theme in a stone age setting. Imagine a similar situation today, where a person's desires go against society's expectations
What situation did you imagine? I imagine a guy wanting to be a ballerina and has nothing to do with his society but that is his passion.

The taboos that Tao did were that he draws in caves,walks on ferbiddon land,and haunts with Ram.

3. Graybeard describes Volt differently than we have. What aspects of Volt's character is Graybeard acknowledging?Graybeard is acknowledging that Volt is strict to Tao and that he wants the best for him.

I agree but then i disagree and i agree because it is a taboo and shouldn't be doing it because it is against to their tradition and i disagree because he isn't doing any thing bad he is just drawing and when he draws he isn't drawing any thing bad or nasty.

Why do you think Graybeard changed his mind?
I think that Graybeard changed his mind because he knows that maybe he was wrong because Tao is just drawing and he sees when he draws he is so focused andso dedicated to his work and Tao likes to draw.
What does this tell you about his character?It tells that he apprieciate him the work that he does and so him changing his mind was a good option.

Do you think Graybeard is a good teacher? Why?
I think that Graybeard would be a good teacher because he just taught him like a lesson because at first he didn't agree for him to draw.But also he wouldn't be a bad teacher because he is really strict to Tao.
Would you like to have been taught a skill by him? Why?I am not sure because maybe yes because he aptpreiciates his work but then i wouldn't because he is to strict and bossy.

1. Even if Ram had succeeded in hunting the deer, do you think it was a good idea of Tao's to "show off" his dog's ability to hunt? Explain.
Ithink that it wouldn't be nice because showing of is being mean and just saying that he and the wolf are better than anybody.
2. Predict what will happen next. If you've read ahead, invent an alternate scene.Iperdict that Ram and Tao are going to be safe and the hunters are going to stop following them.Or that maybe they are going to want to keep Ram.
